Travel insurance is separate from any package or flight financial protection. Do not assume that one replaces the other.

- Does it cover every destination and the full length of your trip?
- Have you declared any medical conditions the insurer asks about?
- What cancellation cover applies, and from when?
- What are the excess, limits and exclusions?
- Are the activities you are planning covered?
- How do you contact the insurer and make a claim while you are away?

When should I buy travel insurance?
Many travellers look at cover as soon as they book, because cancellation cover may only apply from the date a policy starts. Check the policy wording for the details that apply to you.
